Originally chartered by a handful of employees in 1965 as Stewart & Stevenson Credit Union, Space City Credit Union has grown to over $150M in assets and serves members who live and work in Harris and Brazoria Counties. Companies such as Stewart & Stevenson, GE, INEOS, Solvay, McCall Group, Rex Supply, Houston Housing Authority, Houston Professional Musicians Association, Brazoria ISD, and more.
If you work for one of our member companies or you live or work in Harris or Brazoria Counties, you are eligible for membership.
We are NOT a bank. We are a local “501c co-op financial organization”, we are owned by you, our members, and run by our member-elected and volunteer board of directors. All profits are returned to you, our members.

2012 - Independence Parkway FCU (formerly Soltex CU) - serving employees of Solvay and Ineos mainly in the LaPorte/Pasadena, TX area.
2012 – HHA FCU - serving the employees of the Houston Housing Authority.
2018 – Houston Musicians FCU – serving members of the Houston Professional Musicians Association.
2022 – Brazosport Teachers FCU – serving Brazosport Independent School District and all of Brazoria County
